Spruced up and ready for a busy summer!

Our little cottage has had some more TLC recently and is now all sparkling and ready for our summer guests!

We took advantage of the recent good weather in Argyll to spend time at the cottage on a few outside jobs.

First on the list was some exterior painting. Some of the rendering needed re-touching, and we also sanded down the lounge window frames and gave them a new lick of paint.

Not forgetting the back garden... The back wall and steps were repainted plus the outside porch window frames. The lawn was freshly mown and privet hedges neatly trimmed - they're finally growing again now that there's some sunshine on the way!

We started with a much needed caffeine fix out on the terrace. It was lovely and warm for most of the day, and a great way to start the working day!

Here's a photo we took when we were out for a walk - the beautiful view overlooking Gareloch. The water was the stillest we've seen it in months. I'm not sure what the yellow bushes are but they really frame the scene to perfection.
