We've seen an uptick in guest enquiries from individuals looking to base their work at a holiday let for several weeks at a time so here's a low down why you should book with us!
Here's why Gareloch Cottage is a 'work friendly' holiday cottage:
Extended duration: we accept bookings for up to 30 days in 1 block and may be able to offer further flexibility based on individual requirements and current availability.
High speed WIFI: we have high speed Wi-Fi suitable for Zoom meetings (for example) and it's free of charge to our guests.
Dedicated work space: previous guests have been happy to set up 'office' on our living room dining table. The room is set back from the road and offers total privacy and is quiet.
Gym access: if you want to schedule in regular workouts, we've got that covered too! In collaboration with The Journey in Helensburgh (about 5 miles from the cottage) we can arrange a discounted gym 'membership' for you and your guests for the duration of your stay.
Fully equipped for self catering: we have ensured that Gareloch Cottage is furnished and equipped with 'every day' things guests expect for longer stays. So this includes being able to do your own washing and ironing (for example), make a fresh coffee with our Lavazza machine and prepare quick meals in the microwave. Guests on longer stays are left with supplies of bedding and towels and a starter ' kitchen pack' with cleaning products, bin liners, washing up liquid etc.
Serviced laundry and cleaning changeovers: If you're short on time during your stay, we can also arrange for our housekeeper to pop in and do a full clean and the laundry as well as rubbish disposal.
Bring your dog! Gareloch is dog friendly - suitable for one small-medium pet due to the size of the property. Previous dog owners staying for work have appreciated the company of their much loved pet and enjoyed walks out and about in between meetings.
A relaxing terrace: Not forgetting our first floor terrace where you can take a break from work and enjoy the beautiful views across the Gareloch. Take up a coffee first thing in the morning, or unwind with a glass of wine in the evening.
Nearby scenic walks: When the tide is out, right across from the house you can take a walk on the shingle beach and spot the different birds coming and going. There's usually several pretty boats bobbing up and down and you may even see some submarine activity from Faslane!
Convenience: There's access to a well stocked Co-Op just a few minutes walk from Gareloch Cottage in Rosneath. For weekly shops you can order online at Morrisons who have a branch just outside of Helensburgh and get it delivered to our doorstep!
