We took these pictures during our visit this January - in between the rain, we managed to get a few brisk walks along the shingly beach which is Gare Loch. It's literally right across the road from the cottage.
Whatever the season, we love it all year round because every picture you take tells a different story.
The house is located on a winding peninsula so Shore Road is lined with beaches - leading in to the various pretty small villages in and around such as Cove, Kilcreggan and Garelochhead.
The Gare Loch or Gareloch is an open sea loch and is well used for recreational boating, water sports and fishing. We've also seen some of our brave neighbours popping down to do a spot of wild swimming in it too.
Ok, so it's not sunny Spain but we think it's pretty cool!
